On August 15th, a delegation of permanent secretaries or high-level representatives from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of nine Caribbean countries visited Shandong Heavy Industry Group (SHIG). Tian Qi, Ambassador of the Department of Latin American Affairs of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and Sun Yebao, Deputy Director and First-Class Inspector of the Provincial Foreign Affairs Office, accompanied the delegation. Zhang Gengsheng, Member of the Party Committee and Deputy General Manager of SHIG, also attended the event.

The delegation visited SHIG’s Future Technology Exhibition Hall and expressed appreciation for SHIG’s high-quality development in recent years, particularly its achievements in overseas business. They expressed hope for strengthened exchanges and enhanced practical cooperation in equipment manufacturing between the two sides.

SHIG is actively optimizing its overseas market presence. By 2024, the group’s export revenue from Caribbean countries will exceed 500 million yuan, making it a key growth market in the Americas. SHIG will leverage this visit as an opportunity to leverage its technological leadership and industrial chain resources in global equipment manufacturing. Leveraging the synergy of its brand matrix, the group will strengthen cooperation with Caribbean countries in areas such as new energy commercial vehicles, agricultural machinery, smart logistics, and marine transportation equipment, achieving mutual benefit and enhancing people-to-people friendship.
