From July 21st to 27th, Shandong Vice Governor Sun Ximin led a Shandong Provincial Government delegation to visit Peru and Chile to promote in-depth and practical exchanges and cooperation between Shandong Province and Latin American countries. The delegation held business events, including the China (Shandong)-Peru and China (Shandong)-Chile Economic and Trade Cooperation Exchange Conferences, signed economic and trade cooperation projects, and engaged with government departments, important business associations, and business leaders from both countries. This effort promoted the deepening of practical cooperation in multiple areas between Shandong Province and both countries, helping Shandong Province build a new frontier for high-level opening up. Sun Ximin commended the Latin American business development of provincial state-owned enterprises and Shandong Heavy Industry Group, and set higher expectations for further deepening economic and trade cooperation.
On July 22, at the China (Shandong)-Peru Economic and Trade Cooperation Exchange Conference, Weichai and Modasa Group signed a business cooperation agreement, and China National Heavy Duty Truck (Peru) Co., Ltd. was unveiled.

On July 23rd, the delegation visited the Cabal Group bus terminal in Chile and viewed a pure electric bus delivered by Zhongtong to a customer. They then held talks with the Chilean Ministry of Transport and Telecommunications to gain a detailed understanding of the overall situation and development plans of Chile’s public transportation system and to promote further cooperation between the two sides. Following the meeting, Zhongtong Bus held a kick-off event for its first female drivers in Chile, handing bus key models, symbolizing the start of their careers, to two participants in the “Female Driver Program.” Leveraging its leading core technology and customized development capabilities, Zhongtong Bus successfully won a major order for 895 new energy buses in Chile this year.
On July 24th, Man Shengang presided over a special meeting on the Latin American market for Shandong Heavy Industry, where he received reports on the progress of its Latin American business from affiliated companies. He noted that Shandong Heavy Industry has continuously optimized its market presence and built its brand matrix. Export revenue to the Latin American market increased by 40% year-on-year in the first half of this year, with rapid breakthroughs in high-end products and a significant increase in brand influence. Latin America is a key strategic market for Shandong Heavy Industry’s internationalization, offering enormous potential for future growth.
